Flat Abbey and Flat Adrienne Return

January 5, 2007

Flat Abbey came back from Arizona after spending some quality time with her aunt and uncle and taking a side trip to California. She came back with a wild skirt because she had a wild time while in Arizona and a neat book book about the west.

She also saw cotton growing the fields and brought some back for us to see.

Flat Adrienne came back from Kentucky. While in Kentucky she saw lots of horses (her favorite).

She also visited Fort Knox and saw the place where the United States stores its gold.

Our Savior’s Flat Gaven Returns From California and Flat Connor from Florida

December 19, 2006

Flat Gaven loved California so much that he did not want to come back. He visited the Jelly Belly factory in California and sent us a big bag of Jelly Bellies to enjoy.

The real Gaven shared them with us all. We hope Flat Gaven comes back to Michigan soon.

Flat Connor came back form suuny Florida with some stories to tell. He went to a park and saw manatees, went to Daytona Beach and best of all visited the Daytona 500 Race Track. It sounded like he had fun.

Who Are These New Third Graders?

November 5, 2006

img_0013.JPGLast week our class doubled in size. The new students are very quiet and very flat. Take a look at our photo gallery and see if you know who is who? img_0010.JPGOr stop by the room sometime to see how they just seem to hanging out.

img_0012.JPGI was told they are not staying in the third grade too long. They will be leaving or flying to different states very soon.

Stanley’s Not Flat Anymore

November 1, 2006

Gaven, Nick, Connor and Daniel summarize the last chapter:

Stanley was famous and then he was sad because the people made fun of him because he was flat.  Athur had a good idea and filled him up with air.  Arthur tried to find a bicycle pump and he did.  He put the pump in Stanley’s mouth and pumped and it worked.  Stanley got to his normal self again!

We now have finished the book, but keep watching this blog as we will be telling you about our flat people and where they each are going.

Stanley Saves the Day

October 31, 2006

Today we read chapter 4.  Here is how Seth S., Daniel, Adrienne, Connor and Seth B. summarized the main ideas of chapter 4.

The next day Mr. Dart was gloomy because a painting was stolen from the museum. The sneak thieves were Max and Luther and they were good thieves too.  Stanley had an idea by dressing like a shepherdess and climbing into a picture frame to catch the thieves.  The thieves got into a museum and tried to steal the expensive painting and Stanley yelled from the picture.  The thieves got caught by Stanley.
